The difference between C140 2023 version and 2024 version
- The C140 2023 version is compatible with the 2023 version of the Legion gaming notebook and models of the following years.
- C140 2024 version is compatible with the 2024 version of the Legion gaming notebook and models of the following years.
- The C140 2023 version charges the 2024 Legion gaming laptop with a maximum power of 100W and does not support 140W full-load charging.

The Legion C140 GaN Adapter features a single USB-C output port and supports Lenovo's private fast charging protocol, as well as other common fast charging protocols like PD3.1, PD3.0, PPS, and QC3.0, making it a versatile option for charging Lenovo laptops and other consumer electronics while on the go.
In terms of output specifications, the USB PD mode has six fixed PDOs of 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V3A, 15V3A, 20V5A, and 28V5A. When charging Lenovo laptops, it supports 140W and 135W private protocols. When using a USB-C to USB-C cable, it can deliver 20V7A (140W) private protocol, and when using a USB-C to square USB port cable, it can deliver 20V6.75A (135W) private protocol.
As for the actual measured value of the plug less than 140W, Lenovo's official explanation is as follows: 140W is the maximum power output of the adapter, but not every product can reach 140W with the plug charging, because the adapter automatically adjusts to output the corresponding power value according to the actual needs of the product (system protocol of electronic products, required power, etc.) and the use of the environment, and will not be 100% full load output.
